PRODUCT INFORMATION
Commercial Combined
An inclusive policy combining liability, goods in transit, goods
in trust, money cover, assault, business interruption, book debts, glass
and plate glass, buildings, stock, office and computer equipment. Possibly
other covers can be added as required. Designed for general business
where the business type is relatively standard and non-hazardous.
Property Owners
Buildings and property liability cover for those who own property
and rent it out. Can be taken out for almost any type of building where
the constructions and usage are fairly general. More complicated risks
and building usage also dealt with.
Shops/Offices
Same type of cover as under the commercial combined but with policies
generally written with types of business in mind. Such as flower shops,
clothes shops, furniture shops etc., and offices mainly used for administrative
purposes only such as insurance brokers, financial advisers etc.
Professional Indemnity
This insurance is also known as Professional Negligence and specifically
covers areas where a company or person can be held professionally negligent.
Such examples would be where a photographer takes photographs at a wedding
but fails to ensure that he has the correct film in the camera and no
good or usable photographs are taken. In this case the insurance would
cover for the reshooting of the entire wedding or enhancement of the
negatives if this is possible through a specialist source. Another example
is of an architect who designs a roof for a building which ultimately
fails to perform and results in water encroachment. This policy would
cover for the cost of putting right the design flaw and to the redesign
and reconstruction of a replacement roof in necessary.
Public Liabilty
An essential cover for anybody who enters into business at any
level. This can be for a very simple job such as car washing to mobile
hairdressers, window cleaners, painters and decorators etc. It is essential
to remember that this cover is only to protect the worker from any damage
or injury that they cause to a member of the public and will not cover
them for any damage that they do to the product they are working on,
such as breaking a window in the case of a window cleaner.
Employers Liability
A policy which must, by law, be taken out by an employer. The
statutory limit of cover is £10,000,000 as set by the Government.
To have employees and work without this cover is illegal.

Residential Let Properties
A policy specifically for individuals who own residential property,
usually for investment purposes, and then rent them out. We have policies
which cater for long term lets or properties used as holiday homes. In
some instances, we are also able to add these types of properties to
the owners main residence policy. We can also cover the landlords own
property left in the home and can provide legal expenses cover to protect
in case legal action has to be entered into to remove a tenant or other
legal disputes arising from property ownership.
Work From Home
More and more people are now choosing to work or run a business
from their home premises. If pure administration work is done with
no public visiting them normally a standard household policy is sufficient.
However, if part of the home is converted specifically for business
use,
stock is kept and/or the general public visit or delivery companies
arrive regularly, then a policy specifically for this purpose is available.
Premier Household
Policies specifically for the owners of private homes with values
in excess of £250,000.00 and general contents of at least £50,000.00.
These policies respond better the higher the values involved and
are especially effective when the home contains antiques, fine art, porcelain
etc. These policies easily extend to cover second homes used as
holiday
residences and even properties abroad depending on the Country.
Premier Motor
High value motor can also be insured where the coverages are extremely
flexible and tailored to cover domestic staff, secretaries and
personal assistants. The original value of the vehicle must be in excess
of £30,000.
All family and/or household members can be named but others not
permanently resident with the insured can drive the vehicle(s) without
having to
obtain prior consent. Also, anybody named on the policy can drive
another vehicle not belonging to them or hired to them on a fully comprehensive
basis, again without prior referral. The policy automatically covers
for Europe with full legal expenses and breakdown cover included.
Annual Travel
If you travel on holiday more than once a hear then an annual travel
policy may be more cost effective for you, especially is you travel as
a family with children under 18. Most policies give cover for up to 31
days any one trip and are unrestrictive as to how many times a year you
can go away.
Motor Fleet
For business’s with three cars or more a fleet policy may be applicable.
These types of policy do not use a no claims bonus system, but usually
a flat rate is given which is applied to all of the vehicles so that
higher rated vehicles attract a lower rate. These policies are generally
more cost effective the larger the fleet.
Wedding
Designed to cover for all the things that can go wrong on the ‘Big
Day’ and leading up to it. Such as the cancellation or rearrangement
of the wedding, loss or damage to the wedding attire, bride, groom
and bridesmaids. Loss or damage to the wedding rings, flowers or gifts
for the attendants, non-appearance of the photographer or loss or
damage to the original film or negatives. Likewise, non appearance
of the professional video operator or to the video tape and personal
liability to cover you against your legal liability to pay compensation,
costs and expenses for bodily injury and loss or damage of property.
The policy can also extend to give cover for marquees. It won’t respond
if you just decide ‘not to get married’.
